Battle.net 2.0 Subcription Model, Cheating and Modding

Battle.net Subscription
Jay Wilson says that they are not happy to change the new Battle.net 2.0 subscription model to a fee based model.”

We are going to monetize features so that we get to make them,” said Wilson. “We kind of have to.”

Wilson noted that whatever the content would be, it would have an appropriate value to users.

Cheating
Cheaters are not welcome in Diablo 3, its a clear statement from Jay Wilson, users of maphack and such will get a hard time with the new Diablo 3 anti-cheating system.

Game Modding
“We don’t have a lot of plans to do that. It would make our lives so much harder”  Jay Wilson said,  despite the fact that he and many other designers got their start in modding. Its clear  the team takes a strong stance on the hacking of Blizzard games.

Item Binding
Trading will play a big role in Diablo III, and there will only be binded items (bind-on equip) feature on quest rewards.

Diablo 3 on Console and New MMO
Mike Morhaime president of Blizzard Entertainment stated that we have no play to make a console port of Diablo 3 or Blizzard games now, and added following “We’ dont know what will happen in 20 years.”
Also mr. Morhaime confirmed that there is a new MMO in development by a very core and talented team. There is currently no information at the moment.
